Golden light, cozy sweaters, and a whole season built for photos
Real Moments. Real People. Real Love.
Real Moments. Real People. Real Love.
Beautifully, Uniquely You
There's a reason we're called Ginkgo Lens — every autumn, the leaves outside our studio turn the exact shade of yellow we chase in every photo. Fall doesn't need much help looking good, and neither do you. Whether it's your family piled onto a blanket in a field of turning leaves, or two of you sharing a thermos of cider on a crisp afternoon at home, we're here to capture it with warmth, artistry, and a whole lot of heart.
This is for the Clients…
Who want their photos to feel as warm as their favorite fall sweater.
Who are ready to crunch through leaves, share a hot drink, and just be together while we take care of the rest.
Who value real emotions over perfectly matched flannel.
Who want the photoshoot itself to feel like your favorite part of the season, not a chore to check off before the holidays.
And most of all, this is for the families and couples who want to look back at their fall pictures and feel the season all over again — the smell of the leaves, the last warm afternoon before the cold sets in, the way everyone reached for a scarf at the same time.

“First of all let's talk about professionalism..... THE EPITOME of professional, confident and equipped. Alex & Arielle were prepared, had a vision in their head and immediately started putting it in action upon arrival. They didn't waste any time asking for setup and making sure we felt comfortable with the setup for pics. My kids are amazing and have alot of energy but, can be alot to handle at times. Alex & Arielle were so engaging with my daughter, my wife and I. They captured so many amazing moments that I now have forever and I'm extremely grateful for how well it got put together.
Throughout the shoot Alex and Arielle made sure we were comfortable with pics, had the energy and if we needed breaks for the kids.
Considerate, kind, worked fast, confident, and intensely creative. If you are thinking about using Ginkgo Lens for your photos JUST DO IT!!! Don't waste the time thinking, you'll regret not taking a chance on them.
Loved the experience. 5 stars. Will be using again!!”

“We worked with Alex and Arielle for our in-home Christmas photoshoot, and they were absolutely fantastic! They were so fun, patient, and kind, and the entire experience felt completely effortless. It truly felt like friends were over our house taking pictures, and the end results were even better than we imagined. Our photos came out so beautiful...let’s just say even the Grinch would have approved! We can’t recommend Alex and Arielle enough and will definitely be working with them again in the future!!”

“Alex and Arielle were amazing to work with. I was nervous about being photographed and within minutes I was comfortable and we got great photos for our engagement! The whole process from booking, shooting, and selecting photos was relaxed and they were very helpful with guiding us into selecting photos that we loved. Arielle even gave her hand warmers to our old senior dog to keep him warm 💖 we absolutely recommend working with this duo!”

“I am absolutely thrilled to share my experience with this incredible photographer who exceeded every expectation I had. From the moment she arrived, her infectious energy and genuine warmth immediately put our entire family at ease, transforming what could have been a stressful photo session into an absolute joy.
What truly sets her apart is her remarkable ability to connect with children. She didn't just photograph my kids - she understood them. Her intuitive approach allowed her to work seamlessly with their natural energy levels, never forcing poses or moments, but instead capturing the authentic essence of who they are. Watching her interact with them was like witnessing magic unfold; she had them laughing, playing, and being completely themselves within minutes. Her creativity knows no bounds. Rather than relying on standard poses, she brought fresh, innovative ideas that perfectly suited our family's personality. When my children's attention shifted or their energy changed direction, she effortlessly adapted, turning every spontaneous moment into a photographic opportunity. This organic approach resulted in images that feel genuine and alive, rather than staged or artificial.
The passion she brings to her craft is unmistakable and contagious. This isn't just a job for her - it's clearly her calling, and that dedication shines through in every aspect of her work. The final photographs are nothing short of extraordinary. Each image captures not just how we looked, but how we felt in those precious moments. The emotions, the connections, the pure joy of our family - it's all there, preserved beautifully for us to treasure forever. I cannot recommend her highly enough.
If you're looking for a photographer who will not only deliver stunning images but also create an experience that your family will remember fondly, look no further. She has earned a client for life, and I'm already planning our next session with her.”

“If I could give Ginkgo Lens Photography more than five stars, I absolutely would!
From the very first conversation to the final moments of our session, Alex and Arielle made our entire family feel seen, comfortable, and genuinely cared for. This was our first professional family photoshoot, and with our beautifully blended family—including three boys with very different personalities—I wasn’t sure what to expect. Somehow, they made the entire experience feel effortless and fun.
What impressed me most was that they didn’t just show up to take pictures—they took the time to understand our story, our vision, and the faith that is at the center of our family. They captured so much more than beautiful images; they captured who we are. Looking through our gallery, I don’t just see photos—I see our testimony, our love, our joy, and the season of life we’re in as we prepare to welcome our baby girl.
Alex and Arielle have an incredible gift for making everyone feel relaxed and natural. They connected with each of our boys individually, bringing out their unique personalities, while also helping my husband and me feel present in every moment. Nothing felt rushed or forced. Every pose, every laugh, and every candid moment felt authentic.
Their communication was exceptional from beginning to end. They were organized, responsive, encouraging, and made sure we knew exactly what to expect throughout the entire process. But what truly stood out was the heart and dedication they brought to every moment. Arielle didn’t hesitate to walk straight into the ocean, getting completely soaked, just to capture the perfect shot. Alex showed up despite having a foot injury and never let it affect the experience or the quality of his work. That level of commitment spoke volumes to me. It showed that this isn’t simply a career for them—it’s a calling. They genuinely believe in the art of storytelling through photography, and it shows in everything they do.
You can tell they aren’t just focused on taking beautiful pictures; they’re invested in preserving moments that tell a family’s story. They paid attention to the little details, created an atmosphere that felt joyful and peaceful, and gave us the confidence to simply be ourselves.
Thank you, Alex and Arielle, for giving our family memories we’ll cherish for a lifetime. You captured not just the vision I had in mind, but the heart of our family and the faith that anchors us. We are beyond grateful and already counting down until we can work with you again. If you’re looking for photographers who genuinely care about your story and pour their hearts into every image, look no further than Ginkgo Lens Photography. I cannot recommend them highly enough ♥️”

Hi, nice to meet you!
We're Alex and Arielle — a husband & wife photography team based in New Jersey. Between the two of us, we bring everything a great session needs: a trained eye for light and storytelling, and a warmth that makes everyone in front of our camera lens feel right at home. We believe a session should feel just as good as it looks, and we pour that belief into every photoshoot we take on.
Whether we're turning your living room into a studio or stepping into the golden light outside — wherever fall feels most like you, that's where we want to be.
From a pumpkin patch at golden hour to a quiet trail buried in orange and red, to your own backyard once the leaves start piling up — we go wherever the season looks best on you.
Our traveling studio still comes right to you if that's what feels right — no packing the car, no fighting the crowds at the local farm, no stress. Perfect for cozy at-home fall lifestyle sessions, apple-picking-day chaos, or when the family dog needs to be in on the flannel theme too.
And if you want the classic fall look — the corn maze, the orchard, the canopy of turning leaves — that's exactly the kind of great outdoors we never say no to. We'll scout the spot that feels completely, naturally yours, right as the season is at its most beautiful.
Bite Sized Sessions For Every Season
Mini Sessions
Throughout the year we reserve specific dates to hold Mini Sessions! Mini sessions are a special chance to get our same high quality photos at a lower pricing bracket, which makes them a great option if you’re interested in doing multiple sessions in a year.
What’s the difference between these and a full session?
While our full sessions are customizable and the date and time is scheduled together with both photographer and client, mini sessions are only on specific dates, times, and locations chosen by the photographer. The themes are also pre-planned by the photographer (but don’t worry, we always come up with great ones!).
Mini sessions are 15 minutes long and come with 5 edited digital images, with the option to purchase more!
Pop-Ups
A few times a year we also do pop-ups! These are typically at a market/fair, and are always done with a backdrop and edited studio style. We like to pair these with holidays and are great for kids and pets!
What’s the difference between these and a mini session?
These are both shorter sessions with date, location, and theme chosen by the photographer - but since we use a backdrop they are usually a better option for specifically kids and pets since you it’s much more difficult to fit a large family onto the set. We also do not offer these as outdoor sessions.
Unless at a special event, pop-ups are 10-15 minutes long and cost $35 for 1 photo, or $50 for 2.

Ginkgo trees are a symbol of hope and propserity, thanks to their long history! They thrive thanks to their hardiness and resilience and, much like photographs, are a constant reflection of beauty in the world.
Similarly, what we promise you at Ginkgo Lens is a photoshoot that’s fun, beautiful and emotional– with finished images that will tell your story that moment for years to come.
Fun Fact: The yellow color palette in our photos is inspired by ginkgo trees in autumn! -
We generally need a minimum of 5’ x 7’ tp set up our backdrop and lights, but we’ve also never had a problem fitting into smaller living spaces for clients. If furniture or decor needs to be moved to accommodate our setup, we’ll gladly help move things and reset it when we leave!
-
We’ll travel anywhere within 50 miles of Englishtown, NJ without a travel fee for outdoor or in-home photoshoots. Outside of that, it’s $25 for 60 miles, and an $5 additional per 10 miles after that.
For our Manhattan clients: due to the increase in congestion fees, we suggest shooting in Brooklyn or New Jersey to avoid having to cover that cost for us. -
Absolutely! We’ll work with you both ahead of time and on the day of the photoshoot to stage the room(s), to make sure even the smallest rentals look picture perfect!
-
Yes, you can! We sell gift certificates that you can email us to purchase. We offer both digital and physical copies.
-
Not to worry! Our photography style typically involves high quality studio lights, whether the session is outdoors or indoors. Not only does this let us sculpt the scene in a painterly style, but we also capture energetic subjects effortlessly!
-
Every package includes digitals, but some include print credits as well. We don’t have any print only packages, because we believe having the digital is a much better value in today’s world. This way, you can share your photos on social media, emails, or text - and if you’d like prints you can either order high quality, professional ones directly from your gallery, or take them to a CVS or Walmart!
(fyi, we recommend Walmart over CVS if you’re going that route)
-
Then you’re a perfect candidate for a Mini Session! We offer these smaller packages a few times a year, usually stylized around the season or a particular theme. They are shorter time slots at a location of our choosing and they book up fast, so we recommend joining our Newsletter to find out about them first.

That depends on several factors - such as what type of shoot it is, what date/time the shoot is, and any specific client requests. While we try to do most of our photoshoots together (so that whoever isn’t operating the camera can assist with gear and kids/pets), not every shoot will have both of us.
Fortunately we both have easygoing personalities, and similar tastes for art and design. So you’ll always be in good hands with us! -
If there are certain photos on our website that you love, you can share that with us and we’ll try to match you with the photographer who took your favorites. However as mentioned before, our shooting and editing styles are very similar!
-
We’ve been together since March of 2020, and have been married for 3 years! Our first date was in NYC, the exact night the 2020 lockdown was announced. As a joke or divine matchmaking move, our waiter actually gave us rubber gloves so we could hold hands at the table!
While we’ve previously worked separately in the film/TV industry and behind the camera, it became increasingly clear that we worked even better as a team as our business styles complement each other beautifully. -
Definitely - just let us know that when you book with us. We have no issues at all with not sharing people’s photos, and would never want to make you feel uncomfortable!
Feel like we might be your people?
